Your Gateway account
Your account is tied to your student ID and is for your use only. Don't share your credentials or sign in on another student's behalf. Every sign-in is recorded for security. If your account shows no successful sign-in for 30 days, it's automatically locked until the admin reopens it.
Photo & virtual ID
Your ID photo must be a recent photo of yourself only, on a plain light background, facing the camera with both eyes visible, well-lit and in focus. Staff review every submission — if yours is turned down you'll need to upload a replacement.
Acceptable use
- Don't access another student's account, photo, or records.
- Don't use the system to cheat, impersonate someone else, or otherwise compromise academic integrity.
- Don't automate, script, or bulk-drive sign-ins or uploads.
- Don't attempt to bypass the photo review, ban, or monitoring systems described here.
Violations & account actions
Depending on what happened, staff may require you to reupload your photo, temporarily suspend your access until a set date, or suspend it permanently until they manually restore it. If your account is suspended you'll always be shown the reason and, for a temporary suspension, exactly when you can sign back in.
To appeal a decision or reactivate a locked account, visit the IT Training Center, 2nd Floor, CICT Building — Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
System availability
CATSU Gateway is currently in beta testing. Downtimes may occur at any time, including without advance notice, while the system is refined.
Surveys
When you respond to an official CATSU survey through Gateway, your name and program are attached to your submission, including open-ended written answers — responses aren't anonymous to staff reviewing results.
Data we log
Sign-ins are logged with their timestamp, IP address, and device/browser type, kept for account security. Your photo is used solely to verify your identity on your CATSU systems.
